I inserted a high res jpeg image in my time line. It starts zoomed in and widens out. For some reason the illustration appears low res in the output windows. But if I double click on it comes up it in the preview window sharp and crisp. I checked the sequence settings and other preferences but can’t seem to find where the problem is. What am I missing?

    Thanks

Avoid the DV codec in your sequence, set the canvas at 100% and render.
Try to make your still as small as possible. Just big enough to let you the resizing you want.

    Hi tim,
check that you have rendered the move (a light blue line should be above the timeline, anything else, green, orange, red then it is unrendered). I never found the move tools in FCP very good, especially the inability to smooth the positioning, so i now use a plugin ‘lyric pan zoom’, it is amazing and will produce rostrum style picture effect really well, and its pretty cheap

    Best wishes
    Nick
