hey, i was doin a ik bones tutorial this night.

i really like it, but one thing i could not solve. i biuld a leg, its awesome, but for my purposes i need another thing on it. i need another connection between the feet and the root bone.

i tried to use another child bones with a pole i placed in the rootbone,
but it just makes wierd convulsions.

i attached a file where i highlight the “problem”.
its just a test file, dont wonder why i am working in top-view.

    thanks for any help!

A rigging expert might have a better way to do this, but this is how I’d modify your existing rig: https://www.3danvil.com/tutorials/1175_iklegtest_amT.c4d

I set up an IK chain for the hydraulic arm, put the IK goal in the thigh of your leg, then placed a null in the shin bone and constrained the IK root to the null.

You can use objects in place of bones when model isn’t going to be deformed, but the axes have to be positioned and rotated properly.
