I’m getting the option for link to source camera files always greyed out when trying to take an FCP7 XML into resolve 9.0.4.

I’ve been able to get a conform to work by importing both prores proxies and R3D files into separate bins, importing the XML (links to prores). Then click on the timeline, resolve folder conflicts, unselect the prores bin and select the R3D bin instead. Bam, links to R3D files correctly.

Is there a way of doing this on import like you can with AAF?

This feature is only available for AAF to link to Avid identified files. You can link to source camera files with XML by using the “ignore file extensions when matching’ checkbox.
