    Sorry folks… but when I came to the forum to post something, this old post popped up in the editor and I inadvertanly sent it again. Wondering why the editor comes up with an old post in it?

    =========================================================
    Setup: Win 7 64 bit
    Vegas 9 pro

    Not sure what I’m doing to cause this but as I go along editing a few clips I find the audio and video lose their anchorage… that is, they become separate entities.

    If I want to slide one clip into another for a cross transition I have to select both audio and video.. whereas earlier on they were stuck together and I could just grab and move freely.

    I haven’t done anything intentional to separate them so wondering what I must hitting or doing to cause it.

    You can sync them back up by dragging one until it lines up with the other perfectly at the beggining and end. Snap is turned on by default I think and it should snap in line with the other when you get them close. Then click one one, hold ctl and click the other so both are highlighted, and hit the g (group) key. Now they will be locked back together. You can unlock them the same way but hit the U (ungroup) key.
