iFinish to 7i ??
First, I apologize for asking a question which probably has been answered here a few dozen times, but I can’t seem to find it, so I’ll ask again.
In a pinch I just cut a program in a location city using a local studios iFinish system. Now I want to use the bins and program I created back home on my Mac-based Media 100 7i. Harumpphh!! My home system won’t recognize or import them.
Is there any kind of translation utility and/or technique for making this work?
Since the files still exist on the other system, and the editor there has been extremely cooperative, is there any other way I can get the ins & outs from the bins? If I asked for them to be dumped on a timeline and output as an EDL would that at least allow me to re-construct the bins so I could re-digitize without having to go through hours of tapes?
Again, sorry for brining up what no doubt is an old topic, but I’d really like to save myself several hours of work.
