Activity Forums Apple Motion IFF and Cineon Support in Motion?

    Hey Pete,

Motion doesn’t support Cineon and I’m fairly sure it doesn’t support IFF. Generally, it’s able to read/write anything Quicktime can. Motion 2, however, does support reading and writing of 32-bit OpenEXR files and allows for 16- and 32-bit float projects, so if you’re looking to maintain your colorspace from film, you could use Shake to convert the Cineon or IFF images into OpenEXR, then bring ’em into Motion.

    Hope this answers your question.

Motion has been able to read IFFS from day 1, download the PLE version of Maya and it will load the quicktime elements required. I mentioned this in my review

No idea if Motion2, QT7 or Tiger still supports this.
