May 20, 2018 at 3:09 amI actually probably should have titled this as “looking for an FCP X Guru…” to be more clear.
Still, Good luck if you want to go there. Probably a great gig for the right person.Creator of XinTwo – https://www.xintwo.com

May 20, 2018 at 7:40 pmThis is a long term gig and position is in New York City only! Remote editing is not an option on this project —-
Over here in Europe, remote editing has been the hot thing for quite a while now.
The Scandinavian clients we work for swear by it and have written their own hugely impressive software solutions to make it easier than ever before.
I guess it will start happening for you folks over there eventually. I think you’ll enjoy it.

May 21, 2018 at 4:20 amThis looks like they are wanting to have someone come in and train the staff on X. They may not want to say they are switching to publicly.
A “guru” is a teacher.

May 21, 2018 at 11:29 amIt’s actually a bit unclear what this job is for. From the info on the site, it appears that Loud Yeti is a subcontractor handling some online NBC content for NBC inhouse. But I’m not sure.

May 21, 2018 at 1:24 pmNot looking for a teacher. Just want someone that really knows it so we can minimize their training time and get them to editing as quickly as possible. Was just so excited about it I went for more colorful language.

May 21, 2018 at 1:27 pmAnd to be clear this is a job for NBCUniversal directly. The position will be out of 30Rock in NYC which is why I am looking for NYC folks only. I just threw the posting up on my page so I could get it out there faster and start bringing people in.

May 21, 2018 at 1:32 pmI too think remote is a cool workflow. But this is for a series which requires a lot of screening with producers, meetings, on set editing….. blah blah blah.
So we do need some folks in house for this one. We are exploring remote but typically we don’t love the idea of putting all our raw content online. We will get there I’m sure. Networks move a little slower sometimes with these things.
