  idvd errors… not ready error cannot write medium

  Hello,
  I’m running on a G5 with idvd ver 5.0.1. I was buring dvds the other day with no problem and then
  I tried to burn one today and it gave me the following error. It encodes the film but when it starts to
  burn and is writing the lead in it stops.

  Error: The recording device reported the not ready error. Cannot write medium-incompatible format
  (0x30, 0x05)

  The funny thing is that it previews with no problem. I’m exporting quicktimes from fcp 5

  any help would be great
