Icon does not show as preview of video clip anymore!?
This may not be directly related to sony vegas.
However this has become a huge hassle when I’m trying to go through a folder that has over 200 movie files.About 3 months ago, Whenever i imported footage from my camera, the thumbnail(icon) of the file would show a frame (preview) from the clip itself so i knew what it actually was
Now, for some odd reason, all my imported files for the last 3 months show the icon as a movie real, this is extremely difficult when i’m looking in a folder of 1000 files to look for a specific clip as i have to watch all of them before i know which is which
How can i get it so the icon shows as preview of the clip again? And the ones from beyond 3 months still show this, so thats good, but i want to be able to do this for the ones in the last three months, and in future as well

Probably because you have a another software installed
that is set as a default player for those type of files…
Try right clicking one of these files (assuming they are AVI)
and choose open with…then choose program…
select windows media player from the list and tick…
always choose the selected program to open this kind of fileWhen you are done…go to the toolbar above and under views,
select thumbnails.
