  i7 machine replace a 6 machine renderfarm ?

  Not sure if this is equivalent or not but it sure would be nice if it is true.

  If you have a 6 machine render farm (P4 2GHz with 2G Ram each) could that be replace with a single i7 CPU-Machine and have the same or better performance for rendering animations? with Particles? etc…
