I see black squares instead of blur or obscuring
Hi , Yes well what im trying to do is add a blur to licence plates on a car but i get a black square instead of a blur.
This is what i do : i Add an adjustment layer then i track the motion with perspective points, then i add the blur and when i did that i just get a black square over where the blur should be.
I also tried to obscure a text behind an object like on this tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XBn8DdPs0Es but when i make the mask i just get another black square over the whole mask i made :S
I simply don’t get it and im getting verry frustrated 🙂 wanne smash something i spent a whole day trying to find out how the hell it works but i still havent found it.

Are you applying a corner pin effect to an adjustment layer because that’s not going to work for you?
Apply the corner pin to a new solid that is above your adjustment layer. Set the track matte on the adjustment layer to alpha and you’re there. So your timeline looks like this:
1 – Solid with tracked corner pin
2 – Adjustment layer with blur. Track matte set to alpha.
3 – Original footageThere are other ways to skin this cat but that should be fine for you.

Nope still doesnt work at all. the whole image is blurred , when i change it to alpha the whole blur just disapears and no blur or any sort is beeing tracked it just shuts of the layer when i change it to alpha or any other setting.
