    I need to record and playback HD on a DVR for a display of HD material.

    I need to showcase HD material in a display and I have the material in both 1080i and 720p. I am looking for an inexpensive DVR, less than $2k, that I can input HD material, analog or HDSDI, and then playback HD.

    There must be a way with all of the HD Tivo’s out today to do this.

    Actually, Ray, TIVO only makes HD DVRs for Dish reception, not cable.
