I need to find hi-res satellite maps…
I have a client who wants to do an animated zoom from his office rooftop into a low earth orbit. I’ve looked into using satellite images from Google, but they are strictly copyrighted. Does anyone have any ideas or great sources to get maps for this type of effect, especially ones showing detail at low altitudes?

Check out Video Copilot.net. Andrew has a great tutorial and he also lists some resources on satellite maps.
