Looking to buy a quality monitor to do color correct video and still work on. I have a new iMac, but I know those screens cannot be calibrated as well as pro monitors.

I have $500. Is there anything out there for me? I don’t care if it is 19″ and CRT. Any recommendations would be helpful.

    Best,
    Kevin

    Sorry Kevin

As far as I know, the only means for outputting a broadcast reference signal from an iMac at this time is by using an original Matrox MXO box … that will cost you around $1000 which kind of blows your budget before you’ve even begun.

    Hope it helps

Kevin, I’ll sell you my original MXO for $500.

What is stopping my iMac display from being used as a broadcast monitor?

Does anyone have any good book recommendations or resources on working broadcast ready post-production?

    Thank you.
