I love the new “dot” individual message links in thread view
Posted by Walter Soyka on October 12, 2011 at 8:43 pmGreat feature — thanks for adding it. I link to previous posts and threads quite a bit, and this will be big help.

October 17, 2011 at 2:46 pmLook for the dots on every message in thread view. They are links to that specific message in the thread, and they appear slightly above and to the left of each poster’s avatar.
Here’s the link to your post in this thread, copied from that dot:

October 17, 2011 at 4:44 pmHi Rafael,
The way that I would describe its function is that if you want to give a link so that someone can read a specific person’s reply within a thread, you click on the dot in that person’s reply and it will load an HTML address in your browser’s address line. Copy and paste that address into your email that you send to your friend and it will fully open the entire thread but will open it with the specific person’s comments that you want them to take note of.
I hope I explained that clearly enough. Did I, Rafael?
Best regards,

Jet-lag and dirty glasses. I haven’t realized the “dot”.
Great for the “FCPX or Not” forum 🙂
Thanks to all.
