I just discovered tons of Render Files
I know what Render files are – I just didn’t know how many I was generating in different folders.
Can I just delete them all – to make sure I’ve cleaned off all of them – and the rerender the important sequences? -

You could do that or you could use Render Manager in FCP to select which render files to dump.
