  I have playback problems in the canvas when i change the speed of a clip

  So, I changed a clip’s speed, speeding it up. It cant play it back for me correctly in the canvas. It always hiccups there and ends up having to just jump forward 5 seconds before resuming. Is there any way around this problem? While I’m at it, if anyone has a good link for an online guide to the speed tool, id be grateful. i find it far more confsuing than FCP6’s speed tool, even if it’s more versatile.
