Sometimes being a vidiot has its perks.
Before my Dad passed away, I was able to sit him down and get some gold on tape.
I shot this almost three years ago and I have not brought myself to dig through the footage until now. I wanted to finish this for my brothers and sisters before Christmas.
Now, this is twenty minutes of stories that may not be globally entertaining so I don

What a nice video… watched it all, that will be priceless to you and the other kids.

Two observations… first, he certainly wasn’t afraid to work hard as a kid and young man. Don’t see that nearly as much and more.

And secondly… he had great taste in cars. 🙂

Let me start by saying I haven’t watched your video yet, but its a great idea to document your family.

In August my Dad went into the hospital. We were told he wasn’t going to make it. To make a long story short he is now home and doing well. He’s still healing from his aliments and will be a different person for the rest of his life (which probably won’t be more than a couple of years, but here’s to hoping for more).

I keep telling myself I need to take a day with him and my camera. If not for myself, but for my daughter who at 9 months old will probably never get to know him very well or remember him much.

You’ve inspired me to get this taken care sooner than later. Thanks.

I am thankful that I did this with 3/4 of my grandparents, in various forms. And there is generic home video/8mm of all of them.

If you haven’t done this yet, do it before you forget.

Nice video– will be so glad you did this.

Dog story was quite the downer– but enjoyed the rest.
