  • I can’t run FCP on my new G5

    I’ve just got a 2×2 Ghz Power Mac G5. I installed my Final Cut Pro HD (version 4.5). But when I try to run the application, I get this message:

    Configuration error
    This software requires certain hardware of software which is missing.

    The new G5’s specifically do not run any version of FCP prior to 5. Your new delicious machine has a PCI-E graphics card and not an AGP.

    This is a mess. But this is the mess…

    I’m really curious too!! Been searching all over and just posted at the other FCP forum here then saw this post. Strange how there’re so few reports coming back.
    Please if anyone has any experience trying to use this patch, please post it here!!
