Friends, I want to change the speed of a clip to more than 100%, yet, FCP doesn’t let me do it. The following error message would pop up: “Unable to complete command. A conflict occurred during a trim operation”.
The funny thing is that I can slow the clip down with no problem.
What am I doing wrong here?
    Thanks for your help.

Park your playhead on the clip.
    CMD OPT F
    Loads Master Clip into Viewer
Do speed adjustment (CMD J) in the Viewer
Do a Replace Edit of Speed Adjusted Clip back into Timeline

    Done.

Bless your heart, Kevin, while right click-speed approach didn’t not work, your longer procedure worked like a charm as promised.
    Wunderbar!
