  • I can not capture from Digibeta with Blackmagic Multibridge Pro in fcpro 7.0

We have a Sony DVW-A500, Multibridge one blacmagic Pro, And we are editing in Final Cut Pro 7. It went down and install drivers. We have tried all Las options and nothing. We can see what is in FCP in Digibeta but we can not capture the Digibeta to FCP.
    Any suggestions?

Can you control the deck when in log and capture? If so, are you setting in and out points for the material you want to capture. Have you used this setup to capture before?

I can see in the beta I have in the time line,But what is not achievement is to have Final Cut See what's in the beta. At least for sdi. Connectivity composite and component and SDI can see but can not make the connection.

I wonder if there some setting I do not know.

Have you installed the Multibridge Pro preference pane? Have you checked the settings are correct? Do you have the Blackmagic presets in your capture presets list?

Please provide a little more information and I’m sure people here can help.

If we all installed. I talked to tech support of Blackmagic ky reviewed all step by step, Settings including Final Cut, And nothing. The conclusion was that we tried with another Digibeta. But this machine is typically connected THROUGH a Mojo a system AVID Media Composer and functioning properly. Today reconnected to AVID I am capturing and smoothly.

Then I cannot help, except to say I have never had an issue capturing from a MBP via digibeta. Please double check you have the correct capture and playback settings in FCP – this is usually an incorrect preset issue – or you have a bad MBP.

Thanks for your help. I think the MBP must have a problem with SDI input. Concerned with Las analog composite and component inputs and entered FCP. Then try removing the signal of time line FCP toward the exit Digibeta SDI and go very well in the Digibeta. Swap the cables and wires are fine. Disconnect everything and reconnect the Digibeta to Mojo of AVID and try to capture in AVID with the same cables and same Digibeta and everything worked fine.

If there is no special setting to connect the MBP to FCP I conclude that the problem must be in the MBP. So I will return, Still has warranty. And I need to solve my problem as soon as possible.I have a client who is waiting impatiently.

    Thanks for your help.

Sorry for delay in reply – been busy.

I would not assume there is an issue with the MBP until you have checked that you have the correct capture presets in FCP. If these are not set correctly (and I can see no indication in these posts that you know what they are) you will see NO picture in FCP on capture. You need to set the input in the preference pane, the up/down converter settings must be correct, and the capture preset must be exactly right.

Until you are clear on where the settings are, I would not rush to assume the SDI input is faulty.

Can you post all your capture settings, and Blackmagic preference settings?

I regret the delay also, I edited into a AVID Media Composer, And in this case was giving a customer service edited in FCP. He brought the g5 and Black Magic Multibridge to connect to my Digibeta. Brought his own editor FCP and only wanted to capture Digibeta use the material and then edit it in your system. Las conversations with tech support of Blackmagic Las had the editor FCP in my presence. I take the initiative to enter the forum looking for other alternatives. I understand that they reviewed all the configuration step by step. The first thing I suggested was that same, Because AVID it is the same. If you choose not capture well the settings of the machine is not recognized. But the editor told me that everything was properly configured. The option that gave tech support was to try another machine and we did, But with another system, In AVID perfect in and out.

For that reason can not give you what you ask. Is a shame because I would love to learn to solve it in another ocacion.

Anyway thank you very much for your interest and attention. And the customer left and took the team including the Fianl Cut g5. Averiaguar I have no way if I had the correct settings.
