So for various and sundry reasons I have a sequence thats DV ntsc, when i go to edit it to Beta SP i get an error message saying my sequence does not match my output, so i look for an output for dv and there is none BUT there is a capture preset for Beta to dv media,

What? there is no output for a dv sequence to beta? wahts the point? so i have to make all my sequences 8 bit, or i have to render my entire timeline via an a 8 bit timeline to get my dv timeline out to beta

not good! what kinda bluff is this stupid koina card anyway??? this is bull!

    not happy here

    Bob,

You are over reacting. There is no bluff. Choose easy setup and select KONA 2 8 bit to DV. Your DV sequence will now play out the KONA.

It does not send it down the firewire. If you want to do that then choose easy setup NTSC DV.

operator error on this one here Bob. No point in ripping the whole AJA community with a post like this.

    Cheers,

    David

    Peace and Love 🙂

Yes its true, I was Overeacting. Giulty as charged (oh the shame of it all, the pain…)

    Lets review

I have been using a IO LA for s video and composite output to feed a dvd burner, and of course when i has to gets a disc out the door IT DIES! so then i went to print to tape (edit to tape) SO i could make a disc off the beta that s when i had the, ahem, issue

    yes Opertaor Error in that
I Had to have the sequence i wanted to ouput IN The Viewer, which i did not (silly me, i thought just having it be up front was enough…hahaha)

BUT even then i still got an erro message telling me my timeline did not match my conifg, even though they were both 8 bit uncompressed. so i have no idea what that means, however tjis time when i said ok, it kept goint and let me edit to tape.

i will say it would be nice if there was a timecode read off the vtr so you could see if its cuing or anything

    sorry for the rant.

    bee eph
