    Vegas 11
    Tools> burn to dvd

When this is rendering, where are the files saved to? I was hoping to avoid re-rendering by pulling up that already rendered file. Is that possible?

    ???

When you go to the “Render As” window, it asks you where to put the rendered files.

I can’t remember exactly but check the folder locations of your temp directories in both Vegas and DVDA.
The files will be in one of them.

[Raf Erosa] “When this is rendering, where are the files saved to?”

They are saved in a folder called DvdImage under the temp folder that you specified in Options | Preferences | General | Temporary files folder

You’d better catch it while it’s burning because once the burn is complete, the folder is deleted and the files are gone.

Actually, if you follow the menu options i wrote, Vegas 11 has an option to print to DVD directly. (on my screen it is not active because I didnt put a dvd in the burner, but I use it all the time. Take a look at this menu. My question is specific to this menu option. When It starts the process, it renders prior to burning. I would like to know where does it burn the temp file to?

Both John and I told you where to look.

Sorry, I missed the tools>burn in your OP.
But, I’ve never used this option as I prefer to have control over the encoding parameters in the “Render As” menu.

Yea, but I believe Raf was looking for a VIDEO_TS folder with VOB files and you can’t get that from “Render As”. It would be nice if Vegas would allow you to specify a folder to save these so that you can burn another DVD copy later.

You’re welcome. You know you should make a Product Suggestion to specify a folder to save these files so that you can burn another DVD later. I realize that you could just make an ISO of the disc and achieve the same thing but it would be a nice addition.
