September 20, 2016 at 8:09 amAre you using the Demo version? Or are you paying full price? Od have you got the Upgrade from purchasing VP13?

September 20, 2016 at 8:16 amIt is still the demo version, but when it starts, it’s possible to activate.
No, I didn’t do it yet, because I have the old SCS format serial, which this program doesn’t accept.
But I purchased the V13 with the promise that I’ll get V14 for free, so I think I’ll get a serial for this version soon.
I’m just trying it now with the 7 days option 🙂
After a quick test I can report, that at least those 2 bugs that broke my workflow with enabled GPU are resolved.
I liked the old colorful icon set better, but it’s a matter of taste…
🙂Best regards

September 20, 2016 at 8:49 amFor rendering the GPU option seems to be gone. (I don’t find it – maybe it’s a limitation of the trial?)
The rendered file does not contain any watermark, so I think it’s possible to use until the serial arrives 😉Best regards

September 20, 2016 at 12:07 pmSteve, in the Render As menu for those Templates that utilise GPU Rendering, the System Tab has a CHECK GPU. This appears in VP13 but not in VP14.

September 20, 2016 at 12:08 pmHi Steve,
We are talking about GPU accelerated rendering. It seems to be gone, simply not present in Vegas14. Hopefully, it is removed just temporary.
It still has GPU acceleration for the timeline playback.
Today I finished a short project with the new V14.
It feels, that it is much more stable, than the V13, and I can:
-apply glow/shadow to a track even with zero blur 🙂
-crop an image to 1:1 or 4:3 without weird “jumping here and there”
while GPU is on. (The above things were impossible in Vegas 13 with GPU enabled)So I have to say a big THANKS to Magix 🙂
Best regards

September 20, 2016 at 12:12 pmHmmm… Try the Internal Settings and manually turn GPU ON. Just read this on the MAGIX VEGAS BETA Forum.

September 20, 2016 at 12:22 pmWow, the option is there again. Thanks!!! :))
Based on my readings on task manager and gpu-z, seems that GPU accelerated render was ON by default, only the option was hidden.Best regards

September 20, 2016 at 2:28 pmWhat is your overall impression?
Is it SVP13 just with a few new things, or is it overall a better program?
GPU preview acceleration is paramount to me, as is stability and so forth.
Do any all of your third party FX work well? Did Magix add any new FX?Thanks for your input!
