June 25, 2017 at 4:40 pmi use leading underscores all the time to move a bin to the top of the list.
the minus key should work fine as well. There are still a few restrictions in the bin naming…but Avid will tell you right away that it isn’t allowed.

June 25, 2017 at 5:38 pmI’ve used hyphens all the time without issue since Avid first started being widely used.

June 25, 2017 at 5:40 pmI use hyphens all the time without issue from MC 5 through MC8.
You can have spaces too if you like. So if you don’t want to use the underscore you don’t have to.
(Why is it so hard to find how to edit posts on here??? I have done it recently but usually I just give up because it seems like there’s a secret door to find the way to do it.)

June 28, 2017 at 3:39 pmI didn’t know there was a problem with the Avid forums on here, but the best place to go for Avid stuff is definitely the Avid Community forums: https://community.avid.com or The Avid Editors of Facebook Group
