    Hello, I’m a newbie @ C4D and I’m having a problem with HYPERNURBS…
When I have watched video tutorials on using H~nurbs they say to just click and drop the item onto the image I have created ( using the objects pallet )
When I do this nothing happens ~ very frustrating.
EG ~ I can see a cude ~ I can see they H~nurb in the pallet window, but nothing happens like it’s supposed to ? It doesn’t magically become smooth like it’s supposed to.
The same when I try to extrude text made in Ai ~ I save as an Ai8 file then open it up in C4D, so far so good, I have the Ai8 path on the screen, but when I try to extrude nothings happens.
I have watched several tutorials on extruding text but I’m missing something pretty simple so a little help please…

    Anyone ?

3d works in hierarchy’s. You need the object to be a “child” of the Nurbs objects (extrude, hyper, sweep)

so in your object manager they look like this:

Also using hypernurbs on extrude objects is not always that simple. Using the caps on the extrude nurms to round it out is generally the best way to round out corners…. but this is dependent on so many things.
