    According to specs on BMD Website, HyperDeck Studio Pro supports only these SD formats:

    625/25 PAL and 525/29.97 NTSC. 480p60 and 576p50 via HDMI only.

    I’ll ask the stupid question: Does this mean it will not capture from old BetaSP or DVCAM, what I’d call 720 x 480?

    I know it’s confusing, but 525i is the same thing as 720×480. The “additional lines” are used to put things like Closed Captioning and other metadata. It should work just fine.
