(Sorry that I double posted but I realized its maybe a FCP X problem)

Footage taken with Sony V1 >HDMI> Hyperdeck Shuttle.
FCP X and QuickTime X just plays picturs no sound.

The file plays perfekt in Quicktime 7 and Soundtrack Pro.

The files work well also in Quickview, but when i click button “Open with Quicktime”, the same just picture no sound.

    In FCP X
In info view at right, i only got alternetiv (Video) (Info), no Audio inbetween.

    Info Quicktime 7

Is that 16 channels of audio?

That might have something to do with it.

When you bring it in to FCP and click the “audio” tab of the inspector, what do you see?

    Nothing.

The audio tab doesn’t show up at all, only Video and Info

I would duplicate that file, cut it down to the two or four channels you need and try again.

    Ok!

My workaround is to bring it up in god old QT 7, extrakt the sound and then make à new compund cliipp.

But i try the resave the file with QT 7

    Did it work?

    Yes it works.

But extract sound from xxx.mov, resync inside FCP X.

If it can go wrong it will, and I will end up some files with none sync and the I have to fix that.

So I rather se it work. But until the bugg is fix I had to take that extra amount with work.

Just delete the tracks you don’t need and leave the ones you do.
