Hyperdeck Shuttle 2 Firmware 2.0 Problems
When I received my Hyperdeck Shuttle 2, I updated the firmware with Firmware v2.0 RC2 for win7. Files recorded to the Hyperdeck were readable by Media Composer v6.
I just downloaded the v2.0 production final release firmware and installed it. Now, Media Composer does not recognize the files.
I reinstalled RC2 and Media Composer 6 will now read the created files again. There appears to be something wrong with the production release of the Hyperdeck Shuttle software/firmware.

update question: I did NOT install the Hyperdeck utility on my edit machine. Is it necessary to install this software for Avid Media Composer to be able to “read” the DNxHD files?
answer: (yep, I love it when I can answer my own question) My problem was because I did not update the Hyperdeck utility on my edit workstation. After updating to v2.0, Avid can now read the MXF files. Situation resolved.
