Hyper Deck Shuttle Quality Of video compared to HDV
Is the quality recording onto a Hyperdeck Shuttle via hdmi out a lot better than recording to HDV tape? After apply a few effects to HDV I notice degradation in the video.

Yes. hdv is much heavier and lossier compression than the prores/DNxHD of the hyperdeck.
