We are shooting a show on the HVX200 with a firestore HDD and we wonder whether we can record a progressive image that we can edit on avid on PAL format. We know it can record into the firestore as 720P but can it do 1080P straight into the firestore? The reason for this is that you can’t edit 720P 25P on avid and that is the platform we will edit on…. Any ideas what might be the best way to go about this?

Should we just go for 1080i?

    Cheers

    Sam

Yes you can record and edit 1080/25p.
