I recently bought the HVX200. I am trying to log clips onto my mac, and I cannot get it to connect to my computer. I have tried everything under the sun, it seems, but to no avail.

All of my setting are correct, according to numerous forums and websites, but every time I try and connect, it says USB Device Disconnect or 1394 Device Disconnect.

I have downloaded the latest P2 Driver, and I can’t seem to figure it out.

Thanks in advance for your help,
    Tyler

If I remember right, you need to use the Firewire port to connect to a Mac. The USB only works when connecting to a PC.

    I hope this helps

You can either capture to a mac from an HVX via Firewire or USB, if you are transferring files from P2 card. To choose between the two, change the settings in the menu.

If you are capturing tape you have to use firewire. Be sure that on the back side of the camera next to the audio level adjusters you are switched to Tape mode and that you are in VTR mode.

    Good luck.
