    Hi all,

I tried to capture footage (tape) from my HVX200 and during the scrubbing part of the process to locate in/out points the audio would seem to disintegrate. Cut in and out. If I back the tape up and then forward, sometimes it would fix the problem. Most of the time, if I change the capture presets and then change them back to my original capture settings it would work. And other times yet, if I just FF through the clip it’s ok. It captures everything fine, it’s only during the initial steps of getting the in/out points set up that I have this audio problem.

Has anyone else experienced this or know what might be happening?

    Thanks for the help!

Sounds like your heads might need cleaning or you’re not using quality tapes.

    Thanks for the response.

That was my first thought, except the camera is brand new and I am using the recommended Panasonic AY-DVM63PQ tape stocks. Plus the problem cannot be replicated in actual capture. It captures clean, it’s only in playing the tape back searching for in/out points.
