I’ve used this camera once or twice but never in anger.
I take it that it continuously records 50 frames progressive at 720 (what I’m really after is 1920×12080 images out of a projector or plasma in interlace)

Is it therefore possible to effectively record slo-mo at 50% by outputtng in a particular way?
Also, is there a ‘secret’ way to out put the files so that you retain optimum resolution rather than simply use DVCPro files ?

Excuse my ignorance but I don’t really know this camera.

Thanks in advance – Terry Flaxton

Slow mo- yes that is what variable frame rates are for. Output at something other than DVCPROHD- no that is what the camera is optimized for.

If I set the frame rate to 50 on the camera do I need do anything else to the firestore I’ll be using ? And will that just import to Final cut in normal mode – or do I need change anything on the settings there ?

In terms of DVCPro HD, I’d heard you could import straight from the camera some kind of inwrapped file.

    Thanks in advance
