hvx200 720 30pN import to FCP6

Hello guys,
Sorry if this has been answered before, I just cant find it anywhere. I recently taped footage on a hvx200 720/30pN, and I am having trouble importing the footage into FCP6. I was wondering what the best way to get the pN footage off the p2card and into final cut pro 6? Also what settings are best to use with the pN footage? Sorry for all the questions, I have just been hitting my head against the wall for the past day and a half.

learning P2 tapeless workflow for FCP 6 or 7 is essential.

First, you do not import your footage, you use log and transfer. This is after you have offloaded your P2 cards properly and safely.

Have you tried using Google to search? There are plenty of workflow tutorials available. Have you looked at your FCP manual?

Here’s a tutorial on how to offload from the camera and import into FCP:

If you shot pN, then the footage was recorded at the frame rate you set. It will import as that. 720p at 29.97, not 59.94.

Thank you guys for the help! worked perfect, i think 🙂
next step for me is to figure out how to take some 60fps footage and overcrank it in finalcut. I have video of people running that I want to make it look like it is in nice slowmo.

Do you guys have any books you would recommend for final cut pro?
