Was wondering about the e series p2 cards.. They are significantly less expensive: If you are shooting with either the hpx170 or 200a camera, do you have to upgrade any software on the camera. How would you be able to tell? Thanks

Yes you may need a firmware update- depending on how old the camera is. But that’s not too hard to do yourself- instructions are online.
