    Hi All,

I have 2 questions I need some answers for if possible:

    1) I’ve heard that I’m not limited to the FS-100 anymore if I want to shoot HD 720 or 1080 with the HVX-200. Is it true that I can do so with less expensive models in the Firestore family?

    2) I recently shot some extreme close-ups of jewelry with the HVX-200. I recorded thru firewire from the cam to my Macbook Pro using FCP Studio 5 and an external SATA drive connected thru the Express Card slot. I had the settings on both the cam and FCP to 720_30P for a couple of shots and then tried both set to 1080_60i for another couple of shots. The image looked great until I panned the camera a little. The fine edges jittered like crazy, even on the slowest of pans. I can understand the 720_30P, but the 1080_60i???
It wasn’t a hard drive stutter. It was just crappy images on the pans.
Any idea if this is just because I used the Macbook Pro to record, or is this just what the camera does, even with a Firestore?

Thanks for any help anyone can offer!!!

    Robert

    1) Not that I know of.
    2) Was the OIS on?

    Thanks for you reply.
I tried both with and without OIS on.
Could it have something to do with the camera settings, like syncro-scan and that type of thing?
