July 10, 2006 at 7:43 pmHey Jan, thanks for your input. I really value your opinion. You’ve helped me out before, just not on a forum. There’s about a $4000 difference between the Gates and the Equinox. Is that just a depth issue or is there more to it? If the Equinox is a good safe pracical unit and the D.P. can use all the buttons and rings alright, I just assume get that for $3000. Thanks.

July 10, 2006 at 10:38 pmI looked at one or two of those. They seem really nice but I think they cost more then the camera it’s self. I also dive and was thinking about a housing. The one thing that I was wondering is the low light shooting if your not using lights. There is noticable amount grain when I have shot in low light. But not noticable when things are well lit.
I’m really wanting to see some underwater shots using this camera before I dive into an underwater housing.

July 11, 2006 at 10:17 amI know the guy at Gates has taken the HVX under and would probably be able to share some footage.
Best,

July 12, 2006 at 12:27 amHi Doka,
Contact the Housing Guys for that footage. And no we do not have an underwater housing under our own label.
Best,
Jan
