I am trouble-shooting a problem that cropped up after a project in the Bahamas. It seems clips on the P2 cards play fine from the cam, but if I ingest them via P2 CMS, they are bad with single frame digital errors every 10 secs or so. I can’t figure out if the clips are bad to begin with, or if it’s how I am copying them to the hard drive.

Tech support suggested I do the folder drag and drop method to see if the errors go away. But I thought that using CMS was the preffered way. They also suggested reinstalling CMS.

Has anyone ever seen this error within clips…looks like a pattern of shapes with colors…almost like a compression error…sort of blocky. Here is a link to a freeze of the single frame.

Our camera is about 5 months old, so this issue is very troubling, especially if I can’t find out the cause. We tried copying the clips by drag and drop of the folders to the hard drive but still have these same digital errors in the clips. But yet they “appear” OK on the P2 cards.

We have done other shoots without this issue, and I did one after without the issue. The one difference was they were shooting 720p60 and I have not used that format previously.
