How would you handle this?
Hi all, I shot some testimonials using a white backdrop. In my wide angle shots, I can see a few shadows and ripples on the backdrop. How would you get rid of them? Your help is appreciated.
Here’s a picture of a problematic frame.

Put a white COLOR SOLID on V1, this clip on V2. Use the 8-point Garbage Matte to chop out all that you don’t want.
If that doesn’t work. RESHOOT…do it right. Lock down that sheet. Or shoot where there is no wind.

This all could have been avided. With proper monitoring, you should have seen this inn the viewfinder.
Use Shane’s suggestions. You still need to match the white color for your background with your backdrop.

8-point mask with the edges highly feathered, over a layer of white gradient, the gradient sampled from the original wide shot. You could also try playing with the blending modes.
You could also hand-roto these, using photoshop’s “extract” filter, if it gets really bad.
How are you going to fix the crossed eyes?

Edit it, export into After Effects and use the roto brush tool.

A mask and feathering should do just fine if she doesn’t move too much. Otherwise you will have to key-frame the mask with the movement. It appears you need to mask or expand the shot anyway; the shot is off screen on the right. Do match the color and don’t worry about her eyes, she’s cute.
