    Hey

I’m fairly new to C4D so I guess there is a real easy way to do this, but can you help me with a problem?

I have mapped a video on to a simple object, but when I scroll through the timline it only seems to display the first frame. Can anyone tell me how to view current frame on the video?

    Many thanks in advance.

Go to your material’s “Illumination” tab and check the “Animate Preview” box. You’ll get much smoother scrolling if you use a bitmap sequence as opposed to a movie file (which Cinema has to decompress on the fly).

Maybe I have an older version of Cinema 4d (version 9) but I can’t seem to find the button marked ‘animate preview’. Could it be in another place?

    Thanks for your help

don’t believe so. It was added 9.5 or 9.6 I think
