How to use files without enconding?
There is a way to use my videos in .avi format?
I don’t want to convert them because I was going to convert to MPEG 2 DVD and my video goes from 350 MB to an 1000MB estimated.
I want to put 13 videos of 350 MB avi high quality, but if I need to encode to MPEG 2 I will post only 4 VIDEOS. I’ll pay the triple cost.
There is a way to use pure .avi to dvds at Encore? -

The short answer: No.
The only codec DVD’s support is mpeg2. You should use a bitrate calculator to find out how much content you can fit on the disc. I wouldn’t encode lower than 4 mbps. I personally don’t encode lower than 5, but 4 might be acceptable for your needs. Remember to use 2-pass VBR encoding.
If you use a calculator, you will see than at 4 mbps, you can fit approximately 2hrs 20min on a single layer DVD (192 kbps audio).
If you lower the audio quality to 128 kbps, you can get an extra 4 minutes of video.
