How to turn one long audio track to multiple tracks???
Posted by Jason Smith on June 11, 2011 at 2:59 pmHello my friend, I have a question my church is using sony vegas pro to record out church service and when we record the track it be very long like 30 min to an hour and when we put it on cd it be only one track.
Is there a way that when we put the service onto cd that it can be track 1
track 2
track 3
and etcit’s a head ate to have an hour service on one track.

June 11, 2011 at 3:59 pmIt’s been a long time since I worked with audio CD’s, but have you looked at making regions? I believe those translate into tracks on an audio CD.

June 11, 2011 at 4:32 pmthanks steve, what were trying to do is spit the tracks because when we record and burn it onto a cd it is only one long track instead we are trying to have it like a normal cd that has track 1, track 2 and etc.
If anyone can help that will be great thanks

June 11, 2011 at 5:13 pmMake a timeline selection for the first track and press the ‘N’ key. That will create a New CD Track Region. Highlight the next section and press N again. Repeat until all of your tracks are defined.

Make a selection by dragging your mouse over the top of the timeline while holding the left mouse button. It will look like this:
The press the ‘N’ key to make the CD region.

Yes, just designate the CD tracks later.

I just did a test run and I render it and open the file and it play the whole track in media player. What will I have to do to test it, and burn the cds?
