    An exact example would be in the intro to this video – I want to show before and after color grading but have it slide like this. Thanks!

    Easy.

    In PAN/CROP use an Animated Mask and have the Mask “Apply to FX” set to YES.

    Takes about 2 mins to setup.

    Or, have the event without an effect and then overlap with the event with the effect and change the transition to a wipe.

    Understood. If it should help I’ve attached my approach to this. Just ADD as a Take any of your media and you will see the Black and White SONY Fx will scan across.
