Sorry if I attracted you because you are looking for the same answer, but I am very new to FCP6 and have only limited Quicktime video experience. Even the basic Qs in this forum are above my current comprehension so please excuse my ignorance.

I took a few 45 second videos on a digital camera while we were out rock crawling in our Jeeps and at first, all I wanted to do was to join 2 of the videos to become one, and could not figure out how to do it.

Then as I played with the program, the vid was moved to In Motion and I was able to toggle or move the vid backward and forward about 100 frames into it by about 10 frames and it looked really funny, then let the vid play out. So this is what I would like to do, as if a DJ stops and wiggles the vinyl record during play for a special sound effect, I would like to do this on video.

So far I have learned how to do a scratch disc, but have been picking at this program for about a week, so if you have the time to hold my hand and walk me through one time, I will forever be in your debt.

    I can follow paths like file-open-select vid-save as-etc ok.

You have the time, or can you recommend a good book for dummies?

    thank you
    Powell
