  • How to tell the ” Frame Number ” from a file sequence in the timeline?

Posted by Alex King on May 11, 2014 at 1:15 pm

Hello again. I have a bunch of animation file sequences rendered out from Cinema 4D and is currently trying to stitch them together in AE. When I import them, yes it gives the range of the files, say 0891-1150, which in theory also represents the frame number. Because I have multiple renders of the scene with the same file numbers, it has become difficult to keep track in AE’s timeline, which only display the frame number of the project itself. Is there a way within the layer to find out what file sequence number the timeline head is on when I scrub through it?

    Thank you

    Hi Alex

    — theres probably an easier way butif each clip was in its own comp then the start frame of each comp could be set to match.

    — might be ok if no alternative ( ? ) ——chris —
