  • How to take video and audio files in sequence and combine them into one clip?

Posted by Edward Calabig on August 11, 2011 at 6:59 pm

Is there a way to take the video and audio file in a sequence and “marry” them into one clip in the bin window? I’m using pluraleyes and I find that using sequences to cut my shots is very disorienting as a ton of tabs start to appear.

Is there a way around this? I find if I just drag the selected files from the timeline into the bin window, it saves the files as two separate clips. It would really make organizing my shots way easier if I could combine them!

    Thanks!

Normally you would have a slate on the shots, so you could find the IN point on the audio, the IN point on the video, and then use the MERGE CLIPS command. But that has to be done from the Browser. But, you can do that…match back to the video…mark IN. Match back to the audio, same frame as the video…mark IN. Then use the MERGE CLIP command. See how that works for you.
