How to stop a “capture clip” and keep the media
Hello, I’m capturing a long clip in FCP, about 12 mins. If I stop halfway into the capture process the media is lost. Can I stop the “clip capture” and keep the media up to that point?

You can’t.
Either Capture Now or set your Outpoint further back.
