How to stay 10 bit 4:4:4… (DPX, Color, AJA; Gluetools??? )
Hi
I have a DPX sourced project that is going to film-copy.
Bacause of COLORS extremly poor handling of 25fps DPX sequences, I wrapped the DPXs with the AJA wrapper, before sending to color.Grading and sending back to fcp went ok (using a display LUT that compensates for the gamma shift.
Happy Puppy…
This project, when re-assembled will contain a ton of transparency, reversing and speedchanges (at even 800%/200% etc)
So what’s my option to keep my project 10-bit 4:4:4 after the FCP treatment?
If I render the AJA RGB codec, it will be trunctuated (IGuess)
I Couldn’t export DPXs from color…
Do I have to convert the AJA files back to DPXs with the AJA tool, as Gluetools lets FCP see the DPXs as YUV?
Any ideas out there?
