    Example this vid – sounds like fom the bottom of the well -is there a way to sharpen sound? i tried every audio event plugin in vegas – nothing can do that, Track EQ only removes the hiss

    I use freebie Audacity; really excellent particularly in my case for noise reduction after mic recordings.

    It can be done within Vegas. If it were me, I would go with Track Noise Gate, Track EQ and Track Compressor in Audio Track FX. Granted, it helps when you know what everything does. This is 25% science, 70% art and 5% luck (all debatable)
    If you’re looking for a ready made all purpose plug-in, there are some already there. Find one close to what you want and then tweak it .

    Every audio tracks have their own quirks. Question is, does it sound right for the purpose. (no pun intended)
